9、laxation of class conformance requirements and expedited data service feature negotiation Summary This Amendment introduces optionai enhancements to the protocol for providing the connection-mode Transport Service (see ITU-T Rec. X.224 1 ISO/IEC 8073), to take into account the requirements of OS1 us

10、ers who do not have a need for full implementation. This Amendment permits relaxation of the strict conformance requirements to allow an implementation which will never need to support expedited data, or need to operate over connection-mode network service, to still be conformant without necessarily

11、 implementing either or both of these facilities. Source The ITU-T Recommendation X.224, Amendment 1 was approved on the 9th of August 1997. The identical text is also published as ISO/IEC International Standard 8073. ITU-T Rec. X.224 (1995)/Amd.l(1997 E) 1 FOREWORD ITU (International Telecommunicat

12、ion Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecommuni- cations. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with

13、 a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Rec

14、ommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within IT-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expressio

15、n “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency.
