Change Notice: Updated to new MPAPS format; editorial changes. 1.0 SCOPE This method covers a procedure for determining the corrosion-inhibiting ability of engine cooling system fluids. 2.0 APPARATUS See requirements of ASTM D1384. 3.0 MATERIAL See requirements of ASTM D1384. 3.

5、1 Test Solution Prepare the test solution as directed in the appropriate specification or manufacturers recommendation. In the case of Navistar MPAPS B-1 Antifreeze, mix the antifreeze with sufficient distilled water to form a 50 percent solution in accordance with ASTM D1176, section 6.3. 4.0 PROCE

6、DURE Perform test in accordance with ASTM D1384, with the exceptions noted below. 4.1 Run the test continuously for 2500 hours (approximately 104 days). 4.2 The aeration rate shall be 50 5 ml/min. 5.0 REPORT Report the average weight change in milligrams for each type of metal for the triplicate tes
