9、 Prt I. Type 8 nuts with ardnes in exces of Rockwel C32 plated with metal must be suitably treatd to reliv hydrogen mbritlmt. For convenice, prof load requiremnts are shown i the Prof Load, Clamp Load Table in the dumt. 4.0 MARKING: Type 1 locknuts are not required to be marked for grade identifcati

10、on. Type 5 - thre equaly or symetricaly spaced; raised projections must apear on top of the conical surfac for grde identifcation. Test Conditons: Section through Typical Test Machine (Hydraulic Load Cel) The same grade stel bolt and ut should be used for testing (T

20、ype 5 bolt with Type 5 nut). The tst bolt usd in th prvailg torqe tst wil have a zic phoshate and oil finish witout any aditonal ubrication such as il, grease, or wx whi wuld ltr frictinal carcteristics of threads. Bolt hreds wil be Unifed Sris Clas 2A roled, on sizes 1 inh dimetr nd smaler. Tst was

21、hers wil be no-rotaing (squre washrs are rcomee), hare, with elctrodepositd zinc platig. A new test bolt and test washer wil be used for testing each nut. 13.2 Testing: Al torque specifcations tabulated in the Prof Load nd Prevailng on and of torque tabls aply nly to lknuts havig th rquird plating,
