There may also be divisional suppl

5、emental instructions in regard to use of metric standards that should be taken into account. This specification contains the essentials of the following standards: International Organization for Standardization: ISO 2341 Inch series clevis pins may be found in MPAPS S-J-7.101-GS/PL. 2.0 DESIGN CONSI

6、DERATION: Conditions which impose a vibration component in a direction parallel to the axis of the pin should be avoided. Clevis pins are principally for use with clevises and are generally reusable without affecting holding action. Clevis pins are retained in place with split (cotter) pins. 3.0 MET

7、RIC-INCH RELATED SIZES: During the inch to metric design transition period, the following chart of related sizes can be used for reference. This information is not to be considered as a recommendation for substitutions but only as a means of determining approximate dimensional equivalents. Metric Se

JUNE 2015 Page 2 of 4 5.0 COLOR CODING: Not recommended, except in cases where adequate insurance is needed to prevent mixing of “metric parts“ with look-alike “inch parts.“ The color blue is standard identifier used in some industries. This must be handled

11、 internally at individual plants where needed and is meant to be supplemental to the normal finish and easily deleted when the need for supplemental identification no longer exists. 6.0 METHOD OF DESIGNATION: Clevis pins will be designated on purchase orders by size, length, word description, materi

12、al, finish, and part number as follows: 6 x 20 mm, Clevis Pin, Hard, ZN6A, Part Number 7.0 POLICY FOR SELECTING PARTS FOR NEW DESIGN: Approved parts are so designated to reduce variety of parts and assure maximum availability, interchangeability, and cost savings. For new design, parts shall be sele

13、cted from “Approved“ part list only. 16、pin (determined over a distance from under the head equivalent to 1.5 times the basic pin diameter) within 2 degrees. JUNE 2015 Page 3 of 4 11.0 ECCENTRICITY: The head of pin will not be eccentric with axis of the shank of pin by an amount equal to more than 6 percent of the maximum head diameter or

18、0.25 mm whichever is greater. Eccentricity is defined as being one-half the full indicator movement (FIM). 12.0 HOLE ALIGNMENT AND ANGULARITY: The axis of hole through shank will not be offset from the axis of pin by more than 0.25 mm for the 5 and 6 nominal pin sizes, and 0.5 mm for all larger pin

19、sizes, and will be square with the axis of pin within 2 degrees. 13.0 MATERIAL: 0-201C steel per MPAPS A-0, Part II. 14.0 HEAT TREAT: Pins will be case hardened, Class 1, per CEMS A-40. 15.0 FINISHES: Pins will be furnished plain, plated or coated in accordance with the MPAPS and class listed below:

20、 Zinc Trivalent, Class 6A (ZN6A) MPAPS G-20, Class 6A. Phosphate Coating (PHC) MPAPS G-1, Class B-1. 16.0 RESTRICTED CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES: Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the MPAPS B-50 specification. 17.0
