8、 NFPA 52 and ANSI/IAS NGV 4.2-1999 / CSA 12.52-M99. 2. Low pressure fuel lines (hose assembly or tube assembly) are any fuel line downstream of the high pressure regulator. 3. High pressure fuel lines (hose assembly or tube assembly) are any fuel line upstream of the high pressure regulator. 4. Vent
9、 Lines (hose or tube assemblies) are any fuel lines to vent high pressure fuel to the atmosphere. 5. Hoses for use in vehicle engine compartments shall be capable of withstanding temperatures of 40 to 121C ( 40 to 250F) within the engine compartment and 40 to 82C ( 40 to 180F) in all other locations
10、. 4.1 Fitting Materials Low pressure fuel line fittings shall meet the following requirements, as applicable. 16、dard A 269 or A 213/A 213M tubing providing an equivalent level of safety. Tubing shall be seamless 304,304L, 316, or 316L, and capable of minimum 3600 psi working pressure. 18、of: i. Minimum burst pressure of 1.5 times maximum vent pressure or 5400 psi. ii. Maintaining gas carrying capability after being exposed to 1120C for 20 minutes. 4.4 Performance Requirements All low and high pressure hose assemblies must meet the performance and test requirements of ANSI/IAS NGV 4.
19、2-1999 / CSA 12.52-M99 5.0 QUALITY 5.1 Qualification Material and processes submitted for approval to this specification shall include the following: 5.1.1 Report: A detailed and signed test report documenting testing to this specification prepared as per TMS-9543. The report will include actual tes
20、t data not merely test summaries. 5.1.2 Failure Modes: Test samples or photographs showing failure modes for each destructive test. 5.1.3 Test Procedure: The procedure used for preparing, curing and assembling materials for test. 5.1.4 Analysis: A detailed analysis of the test results including assu
21、mptions made unexpected results, and an explanation of any non-compliant results. 5.1.5 Submission The material test report shall be submitted to: Manager of Materials Engineering Materials Engineering and Technology Dept. 10400 W. 22、Cleanliness: Hose and Tube assemblies shall follow CEMS F-2 Level II for cleanliness. Tube assemblies shall be free from grease, scale, chips, carbon or any other contaminant which cannot be removed by normal cleaning. 5.3 Workmanship: The OD in the area of any bend shall not be less than 85% of the
23、 nominal tubing OD (15% max flatness). The wall thickness of the tubing after bending shall be greater than 70% of the original dimension. The walls of the tubing (interior and exterior) in the area of the bend shall not contain surface defects which exceed 0.25 mm (0.010 in) in depth. All hose and
24、tube assemblies shall be shipped with protective caps on each fitting. 5.4 Quality Control Plan: A Quality Control Plan for this product will be established by mutual agreement between Navistar and the supplier. Unless specific exception is noted, the following characteristics, where applicable*, sh

28、e lot of bulk hose or tube. 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 6.1 Supplier Requirements All suppliers to NAVISTAR are required to be registered to ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements. Navistar will also accept TS-16949 registration as long as the supplier can also fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Produ
29、ction Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain their certification with an accredited registrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to their Corporate Buyer upon request. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders
30、citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labe
31、ling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify NAVISTAR Materials Engineering and Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Material Safety Data S
32、heet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910, shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced using ISO 9001 or TS-16949 guidelines, or provide statistical evidence of t
33、he lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the quality control manager of the using NAVISTAR plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING, PACKING AN
34、D IDENTIFICATION Loading, packing and identification shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Std. MS-D-13. 7.1 Identification Each hose or tube assembly shall be permanently identified in a clear and legible manner with the following minimum information: (a) Part Number - The complete NAVISTAR par
35、t number. (b) Vendor Code - A four- or five-digit code assigned by NAVISTAR to each vendor. Contact Navistar Corporate Technical Standards for assignment of codes.
