SCOPE 1.1
2、Intended use. This commercial item description covers requirements for white leather unlined gauntlet gloves for use by band members. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Salient characteristics. The gloves shall be sheepskin leather, dyed white, outseamed, unlined, with two piece gauntlet cuff lined with
3、 vinyl plastic and leather binding at top edge, three rows of ornamental stitching on the back, Bouton thumb, and one or two piece fourchettes. 2.1.1 Leather. The leather shall be sheepskin from hair sheep, dyed white of good quality (no boardy/flanky leather) and 2 to 3 ounce thick for palms, thumb
4、s, backs, fourchettes and binding and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 ounce thick for the cuff. 2.1.2 Lininq. The cuff lining shall be 0.020 to 0.002 inch thick white vinyl plastic. 2.1.3 Thread. The thread for sewing the gloves shall be white nylon of suitable strength and size. 2.1.4 Adhesive. The adhesive for joi
5、ning the cuff and cuff lining shall be a good grade of rubber cement suitable for the purpose. 7、f sizes from size 7 1/2 through size 11. The following finished measurements for a size 9 are provided as a guide in sizing. (see Figure 1.) 9、nts. The contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent possible, 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE 4.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product c
10、onforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Reliance on cont
11、ractor quality assurance systems shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. 4.2 Visual examination. Gloves shall be examined for the defects listed below in
12、accordance with ANSI/ASQC-Z1.4. 4.3 Defects.
