MIL-STD-1683 - Connectors and Jacketed Cable, Electric, Selection Standard for Shipboard Use. (Copies of specifications,
5、 standards, drawings, and publications required by contractors in connection with specific procurement functions should be obtained from the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer.) 3. Requirements. The specific interface constraints established herein are mandatory (see sectio
6、n 4 “Requirements“ of DOD-STD-1399) . 4. Interface characteristics constraints. The interface characteristics of ship- board electrical cable shall be considered in the selection of a suitable connector and impose constraints on the determination of the proper connectpr for use with such cable. Conn
7、ectors shall be compatible with the cable to which they are mated. Connectors shall be selected as specified in MIL-STD-1683, which lists all standard electrical connectors. Rf connectors for use with rf cable shall be selected as specified in MIL-STD-242. 5. Deviations. If it is deemed necessary to
8、 deviate from the characteristics and constraints specified herein the provisions of section 6 “Deviations“ of DOD-STD-1399 shall be complied with.
