This specification covers the requirements for a mechanical assembly used to apply a force through a single linear motion from a remote location for actuating quick acting valve

3、s. core mechanism, a valve end fitting, core junction boxes, and trip handles (see figure 1). Assemblies covered by this specification should be furnished in one class meeting the requirements specified herein. The assembly consists of an encased 2. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtain

23、ed. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.5) in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Reliability. The assemblies shall be designed and constructed with reliability as a paramount consideration. be based on breaking strength, e

The assemblies furnished shall be subjected to a temperature soak test (see 4.7.3). 3.3 Materials. The assembly materials shall be as specified in table I (s

27、ee 6.7). Materials not specified shall be suitable for the intended use and may be selected in accordance with MIL-STD-970. 3.3.1 Recovered materials. Unless otherwise specified herein, all . equipment, material, and articles incorporated in the products covered by this specification shall be new an

Assemblies furnished may be the manufacturers standard commercial product provided the requirements specified herein are met. 3.5 Design and cons

The assembly shall meet the high-impact shock requirements of MIL-S-901 for grade A, class I equipment (see 4.7.5). The equipment classificatio

44、n shall be hull mounted, 3.6.2 Vibration. The assembly shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-16.7-1 for type 1 equipment (see 4.7.6). 3.6.3 Working confimration.
