SCOPE 1.1 Scope, This specification

2、 covers the requirements for an acrylic cloth. 1.2 Classification. The cloth shall be of one type only, in the following colors (see 6.2) . White - 3032 Black - 3227 Blue - 3341 Green - 3429 Yellow - 3510 Red - 3803 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Government documents -a *2,1.1 Specifications, standards

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Standard Sample. sample with respect to all characteristics for which the standard sample is referenced (see 6.3) . The finished cloth shall be equal to the standard 3.2 First article. When specified, the

The fiber shall be first quality, 3 denier, semi-dull acrylic staple w

12、ith a minimum staple length of 2 inches. 3.3.2 Yarns. The acrylic fiber shall be evenly spun and twisted into a two-ply yarn for both the warp and filling. 3.4 Color. The color of the finished cloth shall be as specified and shall match the standard samples. 3.4.1 Matching. The color of the finished

13、 cloth shall match the standard sample under artificial daylight having a color temperature of 7000 (+ 500) Kelvin and shall be a good approximation to the standard sample under- incandescent lamplight at 2850 (+ - 100) Kelvin. 3.4.2 Colorfastness, The dyed and finished cloth shall show fastness to

14、crocking, laundering, weathering and sea water, and white cloth shall show fastness to weathering and sea water, equal to or better than the standard sample when tested as specified in 4.5. Then no standard sample is available, the dyed cloth shall show a minimum of “good“ fastness to laundering, we

The selvage shall be 1/4 (4- 1/8) inch (6.35 + 3.1

18、8 mm) wide, the cloth szall be as specified (see 6.2) and shall be excluding the selvages. The cloth shall be finished so as not to shrink mor

19、e than 4.0 percent in the warp or 3.0 percent in the filling direction when tested as specified in 4.5. When a preshrinking process is used, it shall not be identified by name or trademark on the cloth, ticket or package. 3.6 Finish. The cloth shall be dyed, finished and heat set equal to or better

20、than the standard sample. 3.7 Non-fibrous material, The total sizing, finishing and other non-fibrous material content shall not exceed 2.0 percent when tested as specified in 4.5. 3.8 Length and put-up. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the cloth shall be furnished in continuous pieces, each no

Where certificates of compliance are submitted, the Government reserves the right to check test such items to determ

27、ine the validity of the certification. 4.2 Classification-of Inspection The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: 1. First article inspection (see 4.3). 2. 30、ded, modified, or qualified in this specification or applicable purchase document. 4.4.2 Examination of the end item. Examination OE the end item shall be in accordance with 4.4.2.1 through 4.4.2.5. 4.4.2.1 Yard-by-yard examination. Each roll in the sample shall be examined on the face side. When th

31、e total yardage in the roll does not exceed 100 yards (91.40 m), the entire yardage in the roll shall be examined. When the total yardage in the roll exceeds 100 yards (91.40 m), only I00 yards (91.40 m) shall be examined. The sample size shall be in accordance with the following: Lot size (yards) S

All defects as defined in Section III of FED-STD-4, which are clearly noticeable at normal inspection distances (3 feet) (0.91 m) shall be-scored and assigned demerit points as listed in 4.4.2.2, except that onl

During the yard-by-yard examination, each roll in the sample shall be examined for length. Any length found to be less t

42、han the minimum specified or more than two yards (1.82 m) less than the length marked on the ticket shall be considered a defect with respect to length. lot shall be unacceptable if two or more rolls in the sample are defective in respect to length. The 4.4.2.3.2 Total yardage in sample. The lot sha

43、ll be unacceptable if the total of the actual lengths of the rolls in the sample is less than the total of the lengths marked on the tickets. The rolls examined shall be those selected for the examination of individual rolls. * 4.4.2.4 Examination for shade. During the yard-by-yard examination, each
