14、UALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. fied in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for t

Unless otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2), a lot shall consist of all material manufactured in one continuous production run or in one batch, under essentially identical

18、 conditions, from the same raw materials, and to be offered for acceptance at one time. Several batches, manufactured from the same raw materials, may be blended to form a uniform larger batch which shall then constitute a lot for inspection purposes. 4.3.2 Sampling. Sampling for quality conformance

19、 inspection shall be in accordance with inspection level I of MIL-STD-105, unit shall be one unit package or container of material. shall consist of sufficient material to perform the quality conformance tests as specified in 4.4. 21、 lot of material. 4.5 Tests. Unless otherwise specified herein, all chemicals shall be ACS grade in accordance with MIL-STD-1218. 4.5.1 Heating loss. The heating loss shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D 1509-75. 4.5.2 Ash content, The ash content shall be determined in accordance with ASTM

22、 D 1506-75 with the following exceptions: a, b. c. The calculation shall be corrected so that C = weight of crucible plus the sample, g, and D = weight of crucible plus the ash, g. The sample shall not be dried prior to weighing. The sample shall be ignited at 95OOC. 4.5.3 Acetone extract. The aceto

23、ne extract shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D 305-72. The solvent shall be acetone. The specimens shall be extracted for 4 hours. 4.5.4 pH value, The pH value shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D 1512-75. 4.5.5 Surface area. The surface area shall be determined in accordance with

24、 the following: a, Reagents: 1, Standardized iodine solution, 0.01 normal (N). 2. Standardized sodium thiosulfate solution, 0.01 N, 3. 25、e with cover, 15 ml (type used in coal analysis: c. Procedure: Add sufficient quantity of the sample to fill the crucible to about 6 mm from the top. Place the cover tightly on the crucible and heat in a muffle furnace at 925“ 1: 20 C for 7 minutes. Remove the crucible from the furnace and cool in a

27、fer the solution to a centrifuge tube, stopper and centrifuge until the solution is clear. If the solution does not become clear, filter through filter paper in a glass funnel. Using a buret, transfer 40 ml of the centrifuged solution to an iodine flask and titrate with the standardized sodium thios
