The checklist shall consist of an abbreviated list of procedures necessary to clear a jd gun. The proced
7、ure shall camply with the gun maintenance instruction manual it corrrplements but prmeures shall be detailcd in the checklist. Preliminary instructions and task preparation requiremrnts shall be prepared, as necessary, to clarify procedural data. The data shall be in double column format with abbrev
8、iated step requirement listed in the left hand column and open parentheses will be a minimum of two picas rom the text. The text shall be in size 11 Futura Medium (or equivalent) ard leading of 12 (see Figure 5). 3.1.1 Data. Requirements for data on jam clearing guns established by this specimion sh
9、all be prepared in accordance with the Data Item Description anci the awlicable Technical Manual Contract Requirement. 3.2 Check Spaces. Following the response data, open parentheses shall be provided for use as a check space. 3.3 Manner of Preparation. Unless otherwise specified herein, the general
10、 manner of preparation of the checklist shall be in accordance with MIL-M-38784. The checklist shall be in the form (reproducible copy, negatives, printed copies, etc.) specified in the contract. Printing, binding, and negatives supplid shall ix in accordance with MIL-P-38790 (see 6.2.1). 3.3.1 Form
11、at. The checklist format shall be as noted belaw 3.3.1.3, size. The trim size of the checklist including the title page and cover shall be 4 inches wide by 8 inches high (see Figure 1). - 3.3.1.2 Image Area. Checklists shall be on 20 pound white sulphite stock or its equivalent. sides with an acrylic emulsion or equivalent not to exceed two mil thickness. When required (see 3.4), illustrations shall be printed on the ba
15、ck of check- lists adjacent to respective text and shall be plasticized. All sheets after printing shall be plasticized on both 3.3.1.4 Drilling. Two holes shall be drilled at the top of each check- list page as shown in Figure 1 for rings if required, otherwise, it will be spiral bound. (see 6.2.1)
16、. 3.3.1.5 Binding. Binding shall be specified*by the procuring activity 3.3.1.6 Warning, Caution, and Note Indenture. Warnings, cautions, arid notes shall be indented 2 picas and centered on the 20 pica width single column. 3.3.1.7 Cover. Cover shall be printed on linear polyethylene plastic mater i
17、a1 , blue. 3.3.1.8 Number. The assigned checklist number shall be placed at the top right hand corner of each page of the checklist, 3.3.1.9 Checklist Page Numbers. the lower right hand corner of the page. with lowercase Roman numerals. Illustrations will ap-pear on even-numbered pages followinq the
18、 text pages which refer to the illustration. The page number shall be inserted in Introductory pages shall be numbered Text pages shall appear on odd numbered pages. 3.3.1.10 Paqe Borders. Pages shall not be lined or bordered. 3.4 Illustrations. Illustrations shall be used as necessary. They shall b
19、e used to clarify a specific function or condition of a procedural step. Illustrations shall be prepared in accordance with MIGM-38784. 3.5 Nomenclatue. Gun and component nomenclature shall be consistent with that used in the gun maintenance manual. 3.6 Security Classification. The requirements esta
20、blished by DoD 5220.22-M However, the checklist should be kept unclassified shall govern the handling of classified material. The security classification of the checklist shall be specified by the procuring activity and shall be marked in accordance with MIGM-38784. if at all possible (see 6.2.1). 3

Each checklist shall consist of front matter, material and equipment requirements, and disassembly procedures checklist. procedures may be presented in more than one section if required. The front matter shall consist of a cover, title we, list of effective pages, table of contents, introduction, technical directives, and ground suprt equipment/special tools. The publication date shall k shonw on the title
23、page (see Figure 31, otherwise, the title pige is identical to cover. An illustration of the affected aircraft shall be shown on the cover/title page. The list of effective pages and table of contents shall conform to MIL-N-38784 except as noted herein. 3.7.1.1 Cover. The cover shall be in accordanc
24、e with MIL-M-38784 with the following excmtion (see Figure 3): CHECKLIST shall. be shown in place of TECHNICAL MANUAL 3.7.1.2 List of Effective Pages (a paqe). The list of effective pages shall have procurement information aded to the bottom of the page (Figure 4). 3.7.1.3 Table of Contents. The tab
25、le of contents shall be presented in single column format. A list of illustrations is not required. 3.7.1.4 Introduction. The introduction shall contain as a minimum, information on the requirement-response format of the checklist, manual (s) being sugplemnted by the checklist or required to complet
26、e checklist, unsatisfactory material/comdition report data. In addition, the checklist shall list, in nunerical. sequence, a record of applicable technical directives that affect the text or illustrations of the checklist. 3.7.2 Main Body. The main body of the checklist shall contain a material anci
27、 equipment requirements section and a section covering the checklist procedures. 3.7.2.1 Material and Eguimnt Requirements Section. This section shall contain a listing of bulk items and support equipment required during the assebly and checkout operation. 3.7 . 2 . 2 Checklist Procedures . The chec
28、klist shall contain procedural steps based on requirements paragraphed as detailed in MIL-E38784 to clear jams. Inspection and checkout procedures shall be included when they are necessary in disassembly procedures. The text shall contain the items to be checked, arranged in the order of performance
29、 as shown in the gun matenance manual, and shall be presented as specified in paragraph 3.1. In all cases possible, each grouping or subgrouping shall be preceded by the title of the major function being accqlishd by the detailed checks (steps or tasks). shall be sciparated rom the rest of the text
