This specification establishes the design, performance, and acceptance requirements for the Guided Weapon Control-Monitor Set AN/AWW-7D herein referred to as the a major component part of transmission of command

In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein (except for associated detail specifications, specification sheets or MS standards), the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this spec

16、ification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article, When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.4 and 6.3). 3.2 Farts and materials,

Parts and materials used in the control-monitor sets shall conform to the requirements of the drawings and subsidiary specifications listed in the drawing list (DL) specified herein except, insofar as errors on the drawings may be incompatible with the requirements of this specificati

18、on and related specifications. 23、 assembly, and the casing (center bdy) assembly. All principle dimensions and locations of particular features, including center-of-gravity, shall be as shown on figure 1 and as specified in table I. 3,3.1.2 Total weight, Total weight of the pod shall be not greater than 645 pounds92 ki 1 ograms) .

24、3.3.1.3 Flight requirements. The Control-Monitor Set, Guided Weapon AN/AWW-7D shall be in accordance with DL 875AS1000 and shall be functionally cdmpatible and flight certifiable as an emergency jettisonable pod on the fol 1 owing aircraft: a. 25、d for carriage on the centerline or inboard wing- station, as applicable to the specified aircraft, and shall be capable of captive flight. 3.3.2 Reliability. 3.3.2.1 Operational stability. The pod shall operate with required Derformance, continuously or intermittently, for a period of at leas hours

The pod shall have a specified mean (operating) time between failures (MTBF) of 50 hours when tested and accepted as specified in 4.5.3. 3.3.2.4 Time totalizing meter.

Radio Transmitter 875AS1008 M 7793/6-001 3.3.3 Cabling and connections. 3.3.3.1 Umbilical connector. Input/output terminations to the pod for

31、 primary power, control signals, and audio/video information shall be made through the umbilical connector, AlW131, mounted on top of the casing assem- bly. The connector shall be type M81582/1E03SA and shall mate with the air- craft umbil ical connector type M81582/02E03PAl. The umbil ical connecto

32、r pin number assignment, function, and current/vol tage requirements shall be as specified in table II. Drawing 2300287 shall be provided to protect the umbilical connector when the pod is not in use, umbilical connector, shall run the length of the casing assembly and interconnect the main componen

33、t assemblies, 3.3.4 Controls. 3.3.4.1 Internal adjustments. No adjustments to the pod shall be required prior to its use with the following exceptions: must be preset to the desired position; the A4/A7-F4 switch must be selected for the correct type of aircraft; the circuiat breaker, CB1 must be pla

34、ced in the ON position; the channel select switch on the transmitter assembly or cockpit channel select switch must be set to match the channel of the weapon; and the video tape recorder must be loaded with tape and placed in RECORD, 3.3.5 Interchangeability, Physical and functional interchangeabili

DL 875AS1000 shall be used as the standard to measure 3.3.6 Interference control. The generation of electromagnetic inter- ference by the pod and the vulnerab

37、ility of the pod to electromagnetic interference shall be controlled within the limits of MIL-STD-461 for Class Al and Class 81 equipment, standard conditions specified in 3.3.13 and in accordance with the procedures of MIL-STD-462 to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of MIL-STD-461. An E

38、MI/EMC test plan and a test report shall be prepared. 3.3.7 Maintainability. Maintainability provisions shall be incorporated within the design to provide for service, access, and repair of all assemblies. The replacement of major components within the pod shall be accomplished without soldering and

39、 without the need for special tools. routine testing of the pod shall be accomplished using the special test equipment listed in the operation and maintenance instructions manual for the pod, in addition to the standard test equipment normally available in Intermedi ate Maintenance shops. EM1 testin

40、g shall be accomplished under Normal 3.3.7.1 Test connections. Normal testing of the pod shall be accomplished without disassembly except that the forward and aft antenna terminations shall be disconnected so that RF test equipment may either monitor or supply signals to the antenna feed cables. 3.3

41、.7.2 Built-in-test. The major components that compose the pod shall have buil t-in-test (BIT) features to check critical parameters. 3.3.7.3 Periodic maintenance. The pod shall require one year periodic maintenance with the exception of the following: a. The desiccant breather system and desiccant s

42、torage bags shall require periodic servicing. b. The video tape recorder shall require periodic cleaning of the recording heads and tape path to ensure that recordings meet the specified requirements. 3.3.8 Transportability. The Guided Weapon Control-Monitor Set AN/AWW-7D shall be transportable by a

43、ir, rail, truck and ship when mounted in a shipping container as specified in section 5. 3.3.9 Storage life. 3.3.9.1 Packaged condition. No realignment of the pod, or its component parts shall be necessary after storage. 3.3.10 Nameplates and identification mark

47、ing. Serial number assignment, nameplate approval, and identification marking, shall be in accordance with MIL-N-18307. 3.3.10.1 Decal s , namepl ates, and marking 1 ocati ons . 48、ing specifications, documents, and drawings thereon. 3.3.10.2 Serial numbers. Serial numbers will be assigned by the procuring activity for the pods under contract or order. shall serialize sequentially all pods which are delivered under the contract. The contractor 3.3.10.3 Special warning decals.

49、The forward and aft radome assemblies shall be marked on each side surface and upper surface with warning decals labeled “NO STEP RADOME“. The decals shall meet all requirements of Drawing 184AS246. 3.3.11 Safety. The contractor shall ensure that system safety require- ments are in accordance with MIL-E-5400. 3.3.11.1 Flight safety.
