3、SS This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers direct reading sight indicators and gauges that use oblong glass panes of the reflex or plain transparent type, including replacement glass and gasket
4、 sets. 1.2 Classification. Gauges are of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.1 and 6.2): 1.2.1 Types. The types of gauges are as follows: Type A - For continuous vision, plain, double, flat glass. Type B - For reflex glass, pressures of 300 pounds per square inch gage (psig) and und
5、er. Type C - For non-steam tank level applications or 150 psig or less steam applications where the visible range of a single chamber design is acceptable. Gauges use plain, double flat glass as used in Type A, or reflex glass as used in Type B. Included in Type C are welding pad gauges that are des

The classes of gauges are as follows: Class I - For designed pressure to 700 psig (600 psig nominal) using 1500 psig glass. Class II - For designed pressure to 1050 psig (900 psig nominal) using 1500 psig glass. Class IV -
