1、AMSC N/A FSC 6145 INCH-POUND MIL-DTL-24640/23E 8 November 2011 SUPERSEDING MIL-DTL-24640/23D 22 August 2002 DETAIL SPECIFICATION SHEET CABLE, ELECTRIC, -20 TO +105 C, 600 VOLTS, LIGHTWEIGHT, MULTI-CONDUCTOR, 18 AWG, TYPE MXCW (INCLUDING VARIATION TYPE MXCOW) This specification is approved for use by

2、 all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and MIL-DTL-24640. Construction (Watertight) First - Copper conductor, coated or uncoated 18 AWG, 7 strands, in accordance with ASTM B8. S

3、econd - Mica glass tape insulation 0.00290.0002 inch (50 percent overlap maximum and minimum overlap of 45 percent). Conformance testing shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-81381 prior to cabling. Third - Opaque-pigmented polyimide tape 0.001 inch (50 percent overlap minimum). Fourth - Opaque-pigmen

4、ted polyimide tape 0.001 inch with 0.0001 inch Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) (50 percent overlap minimum). Fifth - Modified aromatic polyimide resin coating 0.0005 inch minimum (0.001 inch nominal). Identification codes applied using Method 1 or 3. Sixth - The required number of component wir

5、es shall be cabled together. Cabling sequence shall be consecutive, starting with number 1 from center outward. Fillers may be used, as necessary, to form a round cable. Seventh - Optional binder tape. Construction Variant for Type MXCW Eighth - Cross-linked polyolefin jacket (see table I for thickn

6、ess). NOTE: Manufacturers identification tape or thread is required (see 3.7.3). Construction Variant for Type MXCOW Eighth - Braided shield, tin-coated copper strands. Braid must be constructed to meet surface transfer impedance requirements as listed herein. Ninth - Optional binder tape. Tenth - C
