This standardalso provides instructions for the preparation of an SPS designapproval request (see appendix A), procedures for docu

Within 25 working days of receipt ofeach DAR, the APSP-QAA will coordinate with the pM or Command orAgency concerned and forward the DAR action
33、 notification to theEC and the PM. If the DAR is approved, the following will beindicated on the action notification:(a) Key code (assigned by SEM-DRA).(b) Detail specification number.If the DAR is disapproved, the action notification will providethe rationale for the disapproving action. The EC sha
34、ll notifythe APSP-QAA, SPSP-QAA, and the PM or Command or Agencyconcerned at periodic intervals, not to exceed 90 days, as tothe current design status of power supplies with approved DARs.Status notification shall continue until initial qualificationsamples are submitted to the qualification activit
35、y.BLOCK 4. The EC proposing a new power supply designshall develop the appropriate detail specification in accordancewith appendix C. The EC shall submit an initial rough draftdetail specification to the APSP-QAA for review and comment priorto the preparation of the preliminary detail specification.
36、 TheEC proceeds with the power supply design.BLOCK 5. The APSP-QAA reviews the initial draft andcomments to the EC.BLOCK 6. The EC prepares the preliminary detailspecification and submits it to the APSP-QAA and PM or Commandor Agency concerned.BLOCKS 7 and 8. The APSP-QAA and the PM or Command orAge
37、ncy review the preliminary detail specification and submitcomments to the EC.BLOCK 9. The EC shall submit the appropriate numberof power supply samples and the preliminary specification to thequalification activity for initial qualification in accordancewith MIL-P-29590. At the same time, a copy of
38、the preliminarydetail specification shall be submitted to the APSP-QAA forreview and revision control. In addition, the EC shall submitto the qualification activity, either prior to or along with theinitial qualification samples, the design documentation requiredby MIL-P-29590. This documentation in

At least 90 calendar days prior tosubmission of samples and preliminary detail specification, theEC shall give the qualification activity a notice of intent tosubmit for initial qualification testing.BLOCK 10. The APSP-QAA performs initial qualificationon the su
41、bmitted power supplies and submits the results to the EC,the SPSP-QAA and the PM or Command or Agency concerned. TheAPSP-QAA performs correlation testing utilizing the submittedpower supplies. Qualification status information is maintainedby the APSP-QAA. The time required to complete qualificationp
42、rocedures for SPS will not exceed 120 days after receipt of thesamples at the qualification activity unless the samples fail tomeet the specification requirements. The occurrence of failureswill cause the length of qualification time to vary depending onthe extent of failures and the required analys
43、is and correctiveaction. All power supplies submitted for initial qualificationwill be retained by the qualification activity, unless otherwiseagreed to in writing by the PM (or Command or Agency concerned)and the qualification activity.BLOCK 11. The EC shall make all necessary correctionsto the des
44、ign and documentation or construction, or both, andresubmit samples for qualification or revised detailspecification, or both, to the qualification activity.Depending on the extent of the corrections,the originalqualification samples may be revised and resubmitted forverification of the corrective a
45、ction in lieu of requiringsubmission of new samples. This determination will be made bythe qualification activity after the corrective actions havebeen defined by the EC. The EC shall prepare the final detailspecification. The final detail specification shall includerecommendations made as a result
46、of design reviews and testdata. The EC shall submit copies of the final detailspecification to APSP-QAA for review.BLOCK 12. The PM or Command or Agency concernedreceives test reports for use in decisions concerning aparticular system application.BLOCK 13. The APSP-QAA maintains revision controlof t

This appendix is a mandatory part of thisstandard and is to be used in the preparation of detailspecifications for Standard Power Supplies. This appendix doesnot attempt to completely specify how a power supply shall bedesigned or tested, but describes the typical information thatshall be included in the detail specification in conjunctionwith the requirements specified ii this standard and the formatfor presenting the information.
