SCOPE 1.1 Scope.
2、This specification covers the requirements for electrically retractable aircraft landing lights suitable for operation on 28VDC circuits and designed to use self-contained reflector type lamps having filament voltages up to 120 volts. 1.2 Classification. 16、s, radii of fillets, thoroughness of soldering, welding, brazing, painting, wiring, and riveting; alignment of parts and tightness of assembly fasteners. 3.12.1 Rivetinq. Riveting operations shall be carefully performed to ensure that the rivets are tight and satisfactorily headed. 3.12.2 Cleaninq.
17、The light shall be thoroughly cleaned, and loose, spattered, or excess solder, metal chips, and other foreign material removed during and after final assembly. 3.12.3 Soldering. Acid soldering flux shall not be used in the construction of the assemblies. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 ResDonsib
18、ilitv for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use h
19、is own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed
20、requirements. The Government reserves the right to perform 4.1.1 Responsibility for comliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. specification shall not relieve the contractor
21、of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements; however, this does no
22、t authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material. The quality conformance inspection shall consist of individual tests. 4.4.1 Individual tests. Each light shall be subjected to the following tests: a. Surface examination (see 4.6.1).
27、When specified by the acquring activity, dimensional inspection may be performed on a sampling basis rather than on each individual light assembly (see 6.2.i). b. Functional operation test (see 4.6.2). 4.5 Standard test conditions. Unless otherwise specified, the lights shall be subjected to tests u
