This specification covers constant support, variable support

2、 pipe hangers. and swaybraces for shipboard piping. # 1.2 Classification. angers and swaybraces for piping shall be of the following types and classes as specified (see 6.2): Type I - Constant support hangers. Class 1 - Coil spring. Class 2 - Belville spring. Type 11 - Variable support hangers. Clas

3、s 1 - Long coil spring. Class2 - Normal coil spring. Class 3 - Short coil spring. Class 4 - Belville spring. style A - 1/2 inch deflection. Style B - 1 inch deflection. Style C - 1-1/2 inch deflection. Type III - Swaybraces. Class 1 - Coil spring. Class 2 - Belville spring. Class 3 - hydraulic snubb

36、ackaged as specified (see 6.21, shall be packed in containersspecified in 5.2.2, except that the domestic type or class container shall be used, and waterproofing is not required. Containers shall hc closed and banded in accord- ance with tire applicable container specification or appendix thereto,

Wood and wood- cleated plywood containers exceeding O0 pounds gross weight shall be modified with skids as specified in 5.2.2. containers with no further packing required.
