41、en obtained.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 Preproduction. This specification makes provision forpreproduction testing.3.2 Parts and materials. In the selection of parts and materials, theprime considerations are fulfillment of performance requirements, size,weight, power, logistics supportability, and reliabili
42、ty assurance in acost-effective design. For this program, the following definitions (RT 6Applique only) apply:(a) Military equivalent unscreened parts are those parts producedQualified Products List (QPL) vendor on the same line as “fully screened”parts but without screening beyond the vendors “norm

46、nterchangeable.(b) The selection and application of parts, materials, and processesshall be in accordance with MIL-E-5400 . Specifications for all parts shallinclude quality assurance requirements consistent with those controllingspecifications which shall be prepared in accordance with MIL-sTD-965.
47、(c) Subassemblies shall be designed and fabricated to be repairable.Maximum economic standardization of parts and materials shall be exercised.Parts selection shall be made in the following order of precedence:(1) a. For the XT-1556 and CD-17, the first order ofprecedence shall be military equivalen
48、t unscreened parts or unscreened MILtemperature ran9e parts proven to be acceptable by environmental stresstesting requirements of 3.2.4.2, and approved in accordance with 3.2.1.b. For the C-1189617/8 and ID-2428, the first orderof precedence shall be military standard established reliability parts
49、inaccordance with MIL-E-5400. When discrete transistors and diodes arerequired, they shall be chosen and applied as specified in MIL-S-19500 andMIL-STD-701 .
