REQUIRFMENTS 3.1 Mterials. - Materials shall conform to applicable specifications as specified Materials which are not covered b
8、y applicable specifications or which are not herein. specifically described herein shall be of the best quality, of the lj,ghtestpracticable weight, and suitable for the purpose intended. .3.iol Metals.- All metals used in the construction of reels shall be of a corro- sion-resistinm or shall be sui
9、tably protected to resist corrosion during the normal service life of the reels. The use of dissimilar metals, especially brass, copper, or steel, in contact with aluminum or aluminum alloy shall be avoided whenever practicable. When such contacts are unavoidable, the metal shall be properly protect
10、ed against electro- lytic corrosion. 3.1.2 Selection of Materials.- Specifications and standards for all materials, parts, and Government certification and approval of processes and equipment, which are not specifically designated herein and which are necessary for the execution of this specifi- cat
11、ion, shall be selected in accordance with ANA Bulletin No. 143, except as provided in the following paragraph. 3,l.2.l AN or JAN Standard Parts.- AN or JAN Standard parts shall be used wherever they are suitable for the purpose, and shall be identified on the drawing by their part numbers. used, pro

Assembly and all detail parts of reels shall be in accordance wi
15、th all the requirements contained in the applicable Air Force-Navy Aeronautical Standard Issue of the Bureau of Aeronautics Drawing specified in Drawing AN8O3O. stand, without failure, abuse such as dropping of hand tools, and personnel standing on the reel frame, and such other conditions as are in
16、cident to shipping, stowage, installation, and service. The reel shall be constructed to with- 3.2.2 Finish.- Completed reels shall be free from sharp edges and burrs and shall be finished in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications. 3.2.3 Assembly.- Reels shall be completely assem
17、bled withouk interference, binding, or misalinement of any parts. Changes in manufacturers part numbers shall be governed by the drawing number require- ments o . Specification MIL-D-5028. Y- plicable drawings and specifications: (a) Temperatures: Under ambient temperatures of between -54OC (-65F) a
18、nd 71C (160F). (b) Mounting: With reel drum axis tilted 30 degrees from the horizontal. (c) Pressure: Under atmospheric pressures prevailing at alti- tudes between sea level and 40,000 feet above sea level. (d) Acceleration: At accelerations up to 4 positive gs and 2 negative gs. (e) Moisture: Under
19、 conditions of moisture such as would result if the reel were soaked by rain and operation commenced immediately thereafter. (f) Vibration: When subjected to vibration attendant to all normal aircraft installations. 3.5 Performance.- Reels shall satisfy the performance requiremnts gpecified in Secti
