2、d Agencies of The Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers the design, construction, testing, performance, digital protocol and digital format requirements for the Recorder-Reproducer Set, Digital Data, AN/ASH-33, herein referred to as the Digital Magnetic Tape Set (DMTS)

3、. subunits (WRAS) : The DMTS consists of the following Control, Magnetic Tape, C-10553/ASH-33 (DMTC) Quantity Per Set 1 Recorder-Reproducer, Digital Data, 1 to 4 RD-450/ASH-33 (DMTU) The DMTU operates with a magnetic tape cartridge. The DMTS provides computer controlled program load and auxiliary bu

4、lk storage memory for the AN/USQ-78(V) Display and Control System (DCS), the AN/ASQ-114, Computer Set, Digital (CP-gol), and the AN/AYK-l14(V) Computer Set, Standard Airborne. When specified, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3 and 6.3). 3.2 Parts and materials. In t

41、he selection of parts and materials, fulfillment of major design objectives shall be the prime consideration. The requirements of MIL-STD-965 shall apply (see 6.2.2). following shall govern: In so doing, the a. Microelectronic technology shall be considered and microelectronic items shall conform to

43、ies, the design shall not be changed to employ nonrepairable assemblies without the approval of the procuring activity. e. Microelectronic integrated circuits and large scale integrated circuits shall be used for all arithmetic and logic functions. f. Selection and application of microelectronic dev

44、ices shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 64. All second source microelectronic devices and components shall be mechanically and electrically interchangeable. microcircuits. Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials, including electron tubes, transistors, diodes and microelectronic devices, shall be-obtained (see 6.2.2) as outlined in MIL-E-5400. Microelectronic devices shall be approved as outlined in MIL-STD-965, exce

49、pt that approval shall not be required for devices which are: a. Listed in MIL-STD-1562 b. Available from at least two sources which are listed in the appropriate QPL of MIL-M-38510, and c. Procured to the requirements of MIL-M-38510 from a qualified source. 3.2.2 Microelectronics modular assemblies.
