1、MLITARY SPECIFICATION STARTER. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL MOTOR (SHIPBOARD USE) This specification is approved for use by the Naval Sea Systems Command and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers electrical motor engine

2、 starters for application in starting internal combustion engines aboard surface ships and for starting internal com- bustion motor boat engines. 1.2 Classification. Starters shall be of the following-types and-classes as specified (see 6.2.1). Type I - For applications requiring a torque limiting c

3、lutch. Type II - For applications not requiring a torque limiting clutch (direct drive). Class 1 - Positive drive solenoid. Class 2 - Inertia drive. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Issues of documents.
