SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers one type of explosion-proof toggle switch designed

2、for single pole, single throw operation in class 1, groups C and D hazardous locations, as defined by the NFPA No. 70,. National Electrical Code. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 The following documents, of the issue in effect on date of invi- tation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of this

3、specification to the extent specified herein. The design of the switch shall be in accordance with accepted prac

12、for use with either 1/2- or 3/4-inch con- duit for dead end or through feed connection as specified (see 6.2), and shall be provided with integral base mounting feet. for actuating the switch shall be installed on the enclosure cover. 17、rts shall be marked for identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein.

18、Except as otherwise specilied in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government, The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth i

19、n the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure sup- plies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.2 Inspection lot, All switches offered for delivery at one time shall be considered a lot for purposes of inspection. 4.3 Sampling. A random sample of switches shal

20、l be selected from each lot in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.3.1 Sampling for examinati0.n. Examination of the switches shall be based on inspection level II and Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 1.5 per- cent defective. 4.3.2 S.ampling for tests. Tests of the switches shall be based on inspection

21、level S-2 and an AQL of 1.5 percent defective. 4.4 Examination. Each sample selected in accordance with 4.3.1 shall be examined for compliance with the requirements of this specification and UL Standard 20 and UL Standard 894. encompass all visual examination and dimensional measurements. listing ma

25、witches shall be preserved and packaged in accordance with level A of MIL-E-17555. 5.1.2 Level C. The switches shall be preserved and packaged in accordance with the suppliers standard practice. 5.2 Packing. The packing shall be level A, B, or C, as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A. The switches s

26、hall be packed in accordance with level A of MIL-E-17555. 5.2.2 Level B. The switches shall be packed in accordance with level B of MIL-E-17555. 5.2.3 Level C.
