8、s normally provided a vehicle of this type. 3.1.7 Preproduction sample.-In all respects not specifically covered by thfs specification, trucks shall be equal to the preproduction sample. The preproduction sample shall be Lbat truck submitted for examination, inspectLon and test to deter- aine compli

9、ance with all provisions of this specification, The first truck produced under the terms of a contxact following notice of award may be submittied for approval as a preproduction sample, and apgroval shall be obtalned prior to fabrication of subsequent items. Fabrication of additional items prior to

10、 approval of the preproduction sample will be at contractoris risk and such additional items are subject to rejection in ehe event they fail to meet the requirements of this specifioation. Preproduction sample truck, when approved, will be used as a measurement guide for all trucks subsequently manu

11、factured in a given contract under this specification, and will be presented for inspection as the last unit for delivery under $he contract. Examination and testing, whereever practicable, will be conducted at the manufacturers plant, and delivery schsdule under the terms of manuacturerts contract

12、will automatically be extended in an amount equal to but not exceeding the time required for such testing and examination.
