SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers the requirements for special purpose test equipment for testing the peripheral subsystems of the Data Communications Terminal (DCT) AN/TYC-5A(Vl0 Test equipment covered by this specification may be commercially available equipment modi

3、fied to the extent necessary to meet the requirements specified herein. 2. 8、t functions should be obtained from the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer. 1 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. The contractor shall furnish five units of each type of the special purpose test equipment for first article inspection and approval as specified in MIL-T-28800

9、and herein. 3.2 Parts, materials and processes. Unless otherwise specified herein, type II parts, materials and processes specified in MIL-To28800 shall be used. If the contractor can demonstrate that the use of these parts or materials will not fulfill the design objectives because of size, weight,

10、 performance, or other reasons, parts or materials shall be used which most nearly meet or exceed the performance requirements specified herein, provided the requirement of size, weight, performance, or reliability will not be impaired as a result of such substitutions. Maximum use of integrated cir

11、cuits shall be made. 3.3 Design and construction. All test equipments described herein shall comply with the type II, class 5, style D requirements of MIL-T- 28800 and as modified herein. The requirements contained herein specify the minimum salient characteristics of the test equipments. Test equip

12、ments which will provide additional characteristics, greater accuracy or improved performance will be acceptable. The test equipments shall be of solid-state construction and the maximum use of integrated circuits shall be used. Y 3.3.1 Controls. A11 controls shall comply with the type II require- m

13、ents of MIL-T-28800 and the requirements specified herein. Nonoperating controls shall not be externally accessible. All operating controls shall be located on the front panel. Accessibility of components shall be in accordance with Requirement 36 of MIL-STD-454 and as specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the test equipments shall be constructed so

15、that: (a) Subassemblies can be removed without removing any other sub- assembly, printed circuit card or component. (b) Chassis components can be removed without removing any other hardwired component, printed circuit card or subassembly. (c) Adjustments can be made without removing any component, p

16、rinted circuit card or subassembly. (d) Subassemblies and printed circuit cards can be removed without the need to unsolder cables and interconnecting wiring (connections to all printed circuit cards and subassemblies shall be through pin and socket connectors). Printed circuit cards (mother boards)

17、 designed primarily to distribute power and signals to other printed cards (daughter boards) are excluded from this requirement. they shall be accessible from both sides. When such mother boards are used, 3.3.3 Calibration. Calibration time shall not exceed 1 hour; this shall include all time requir

18、ed to check all inputs and outputs on all ranges and function settings., The calibration interval shall be greater than 6 months. 3.3.4 Enclosures. The latches shall be in accordance with MIL-T-28800 and as specified herein. Cases shall be provided with cam lock type latches. The main portion of the

19、 latch shall be attached to the case cover. The latch shall be protected from damage caused by contact with other objects. Latches shall not interfere with removal of the cover. Latches shall be placed to prevent the cover from being fastened in the wrong position. 3.3.5 Input/Output Peripheral Test

20、 Equipment (IOPTE), The IOPTE shall provide the capability to simulate the input, output, and monitor channels which are normally provided by the Autodin Interface Unit (AIU) within the DCT. equipment used in the DCT: The IOPTE shall be designed to interface with the following Government Nomenclatur

An interconnecting signal cable shall be provided by the contractor for use in connecting the IOPTE to the equipment under test. stowed in the enclosure. 25、e. The IOPTE shall interface with the controllers as shown in Figure 1. 3.3.5.3 Functional requirements. The IOPTE shall provide the capability to interface with, and exercise, the controllers in an off line test mode during troubleshooting and maintenance of the peripheral subsystem. 3.3.5.4 Interf

26、ace requirements. The IOPTE shall meet the following .requirements at the interface to the input and output peripheral controllers. (a) The IOPTE shall interface with the input peripheral controllers via the following data and control signals. (1) DATA - Eight parallel input data lines. (2) POLL SEL

27、ECT - Three lines used to sel-ect one of eight possible device addresses. 34、ed output device in response to the output SELECT signal. (4) FIRST DATA REQUEST - Activated by the selected output device requesting the IOPTE to send the first data character of the block. (5) DATA READY - Activated by the IOPTE when data is available for the selected output device. (6) DATA REQUE

(8) ALARM - Activated by the selected output device when an alarm condition exists which requires operator attention. The IOPTE shall be capable of a character transfer rate of up to 150,000 characters per second. 3.3.5.5 Functional capabilities. The IOPTE shall provide the following capabilities when used in conjunction with the input or ou

39、tput peripheral subsys tems : (a) The IOPTE shall provide the following capabilities when used in conjunction with an input peripheral subsystem: (1) Provide capability to exercise the card reader, paper tape reader and read magnetic tape subsystems. (2) Simulate the AIU input channel interface sign

40、als, (3) Operate in character, block and continuous character modes. (4) Contain a semiconductor memory capable of storing three blocks of data transferred from the input peripheral subsystem. Check character parity and display an error condition. s (5) (6) Provide a display of the character code be
