SOOPE 1.1 Scope, This specification establishes the requirmnts for the procurement of the Wire Rope Assembly, Mooring, Mark 1 Mod 1, LD 549741. It is of one type and class. 2. The Wire Fbpe Assembly, Wring, bWk 1 Mod 1, is a nonmagnetic, phosphor bronze, two-component cable with the necessary fittings to a

10、ttach the cable for end use. 3.2 First article sample. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or order, (see 6.2) a first article sample of five wire rope assemblies shall be mufactured and prepared for delivery wing the methods and procedures proposed for the production lot. The sample shall be

11、 prepared for delivery in accordance with section 5 herein and will be tested for approval as specified in section 4 herein. The sample is for the purpose of determining that, prior to starting production, the contractors production methods are capable of pducing items that comply with this specific

12、ation and the design and may be waived by the contracting officer if satisfactory production has been recently accomplished. 3.3 General requirements: 3.3.1 lbbrication. The wire rope assembly shall be manufactured in accordance with D 549741 and as specified herein. Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo

Component parts of assembled units (unless otherwise specified on the applicable drawings) fabricated in accordance with applicable drawings shall be inte

14、rchangeable and shall assemble with mating components of the unit without selection for fit or performance. accordance with the National Bureau of Standards Handbook H28. 3.3.3 Threads. Unless otherwise specified, all threads shall be in 3.4 Magnetic characteristic. Te static mgnetic effect of the w

Prior to and after final ascembly, all parts, components and the assembly shall be thoroughly cleaned of metal chips and othe

16、r foreign matter. Burrs and sharp edges shall be ranoved. 3.6 IVorkmanship. Workmanship shall be in accordance with Requirement 9 of MIL-STD-454. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the perfo

17、rmance of all inspection requiremnts as specified herein. contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspe

18、ctions set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirement s. Except as othenvise specified in the 4.2 Classification of inspection. Inspection of wire rope assembly shall be classified as follows: a. b. c. Firs

19、t article inspection (see 4.4) Quality conformance inspection (see 4.5) Periodic production inspection (see 4.6) 4.3 Test equipment. The followhg item of test equiprent is required to perform the tests required in this specification: a. Test Set Mark 115 type with Adapter Mark 36 Mod O and Magnetic

20、Effects Test Stand Mark 9 bbd O (Government furnished). 4.4 First article inspection, 4.4.1 First article testing. The first article sample of five (5) Further production of the wire rope assembly by the wire rope assemblies (see 3.2) shall be subjected to the examinations and tests detailed in 4.7

First article sanpile

22、 approval will be granted when the Government testing activity, through testing and subsequent analysis of the test results, is assured of contractor conformance to the contract technical requiremnts. at the option of the Government based on analysis of detected defects. first article sample my be d

23、isapproved when either nonconforming character- istics or unauthorized materials are found. Conditional acceptance may be granted A 4.5 Quality conformance inspection (see notes, Table I). 4.5.1 10% inspection. Each unit shall be subjected to the examinations and test (designated as 10%) in 4.7.1 an

24、d 4.7.2. or mre defects shall be cause for rejecting the unit. Any unit containing one 4.5.2 Sampling. The tests of 4.7.3 (designated as sampling) shall be conducted on a random sample of assemblies selected from each production of 1.0 percent. Failure of the sqle to mt this requirement shall cause

Periodic prouction tests consisting of the tests of 4.7 (as specified in Table I), shall be conducted by a designated Governirient Testing activity on a random sample of two

26、packaged wire rope assemblies, unless otherwise specified (see 6.2.h), selected from each production lot offered for acceptance. fails to pass any periodic production test, such failure shall be cause for rejection of the periodic sample and the lot it represents. 27、t methods. 4.7.1 Preparation for delivery (1%). nie packaging shall be examined to detemine conformance to section 5 herein. 4.7.2 Visual examination (la). Each wire rope assembly shall be visually examined in accordance with drawing 2428610 to determine cmpliance with this specification and the app

28、licable drawings, Ebmination of the assembly in accordance with drawing 2428610 shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility for meeting the requirements of other drawings listed thereon. 4.7.3 Magnetic effects testing (sampling). Perform the rrtagnetic effects test on the wire rope assemb

29、ly in accordance with Test Method 1, OD 10511. in section 5. me test face shall be one of the large, open-side faces of the unit container. the test face of the container shall be 5 k 1/8 inches. nie rate at which the container shall be rotated while conducting the test of CB) 10511, Method 1, orien

PACKAGING 5.1 F!t-eservat ion-packa

32、ging , Preservat ion-packaging shall be level A, 5.1.1 Level A. in accordance with DL 2424109 unless otherwise specified in the contract or order. Each wire rope assanbly shall be individually packaged 5.2 Marking. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order all marking shal

33、l be in accordance with MIL-SiD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The wire rope assembly is intended for use in underwater mines to provide a nonmagnetic link between a magnetic mine and the steel mring cable. 6,2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following: a. Title, nwiber and

34、date of this specification. b. c. Number of first articles required (see 3.2). Test equipment to be loaned by the Government, and the terms Activity to perform first article testing. under which it is loaned (see 4.3a). d. e.
