IUIQUIREMENTS 3.1 Design and construction. Concrete pipe, special pipe, and fittings shall be designed and constructed to meet the requ
11、irements of AWWA C303 (see 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, an 6.5). 3.2 Cement. Cement shall conform to ASTM C150, type I or II unless otherwise specified (see 6.2 and 6.4). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor
12、 is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as Specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements ,specified herein. 4.2 Sampling, examinat
13、ion, and testing. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), sampling, examination, and testing shall be as specified in AIWA C303, 4.3.Tesfreports. When specified (see 6.2), test reports on samples of aggregate steel, rubber gasket material, and concrete lining shall be furnished in accordance with AWA
14、C303. 4.4 .Inspectiori.ofpreparation.fordlivery. The packaging, packing, and marking shall be inspected to determine conformance with the appli- cable requirements of Section 5. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1. Packaging. Packaging shall be level A or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.1.1 Level A. Unless
