20、ection lamps with GX5.3 or GY5.3 bases - dimensions and centering system 1 scope This standard specifies the detailed lamp dimensions for those lamps in the family of 1.65-in (42-mm) integral reflector, rim reference lamps with GX5.3 or GY5.3 bases such that interchangeability within the appropriate

21、 holding system will be assured. These lamps provide a reference for mounting at the lamps reflector rim. Since lamp location is controlled at the reflector rim, the dimensions of the centering device of the holding system are also covered. Both the lamps rim and the centering device specified in th

22、is standard are intended for use in precision projection systems. 2 Normative references This standard is intended for use with the following American National Standards. When these standards are superseded by a revision approved by the American National Standards Institute, Inc., the revision shall

24、 Lampholders for Electric Lamps 3 Related components 3.1 Identification Projection lamps conforming to this standard should be identified with a three-letter designation system in conformance with ANSI C78.370. 3.2 Bases Finished lamps shall employ GX5.3 or GY5.3 bases, as described in ANSI C81.61.

25、3.3 Holding System Requirements for GX5.3 and GY5.3 lampholders are covered in ANSI C81.62. The holding system employs the centering device specified in Section 5. The drawn shape of the reflector and neck areas are not intended to specify or restrict the outer surface conto

27、ur of the lamp, beyond the restrictions imposed by the standard for the base. Lamps shall have full 360 degree circular rim reference surfaces. 5 Centering device 5.1 Critical dimensions of the centering device are specified in figure 2. 52 insertion of the lamp with the lamp reflector rim sliding a

The centering device of figure 2 is intended for use with a holding system employing lateral 5.3 located to provide the proper relationship of the lamp to the optical axis of the projector equipment.
