2、ct: Missions that have a high data rate and/or high daily volume should consider the use of the RENS to transfer data from the control center to remote sites.Description of Driving Event: Solar-B had an expected X-Band data rate of 4.2 Mbps and an estimated daily volume of 24-30 Gbyte/day (uncompres
3、sed). This estimate was going to result in 10 Tbyte total of science data per year. The original data management plan called for the science data to be transferred from the control center in Japan to the remote sites in the U.S. and U.K. via CDs or tapes. However, through prior knowledge from anothe
4、r program, it was realized that the Internet would be a much more efficient method of data transfer, while still maintaining data integrity and security. Site-to-site testing conducted successfully. External users can access the science data thru the remote site data bases. Data is now available at
