QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS:4.1 Respon
26、sibility for Inspection:(R)The vendor of the cleaner shall supply all samples for conformance testing. The vendor shallalso be responsible for obtaining independent laboratory confirmation of conformance tospecified requirements. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform anyconfirmatory
27、testing deemed necessary to ensure that the fluid conforms to the requirementsof this specification.4.2 Classification of Tests:4.2.1 Acceptance Tests: Total immersion corrosion (3.2.1.2.), flash point (3.2.2), and effect ontransparent plastics (3.2.3) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on
28、each lot.4.2.2 Preproduction Tests: All technical requirements are preproduction tests and shall beperformed prior to or on the initial shipment of the cleaner to a purchaser, when a change iningredients and/or processing requires reapproval as in 4.4.2, and when purchaser deemsconfirmatory testing
29、to be required.4.2.2.1 For direct U.S. Military procurement, substantiating test data and, when requested,preproduction test material shall be submitted to the cognizant agency as directed by theprocuring activity, contracting officer, or request for procurement.SAE AMS1550B Page 5 of 7 4.3 Sampling
30、 and Testing:(R)Sufficient cleaner shall be taken at random from each lot to perform all required tests. Thenumber of determinations for each requirement shall be as specified in the applicable testprocedure or, if not specified therein, not less than two.4.3.1 A lot shall be all cleaner produced in
31、 a single production run from the same batches of rawmaterials under the same fixed conditions and presented for vendors inspection at onetime.4.3.2 A statistical sampling plan, acceptable to purchaser, may be used in lieu of sampling as in(R) 4.3.4.4 Approval:4.4.1 Sample cleaner shall be approved
32、by purchaser before cleaner for production use issupplied, unless such approval be waived by purchaser. Results of tests on productioncleaner shall be essentially equivalent to those on the approved sample.4.4.2 Vendor shall use ingredients, manufacturing procedures, and methods of inspection onprod
33、uction cleaner which are essentially the same as those used on the approved sample.If necessary to make any change in ingredients or in manufacturing procedures, vendorshall submit for reapproval a statement of the proposed changes in ingredients and/orprocessing and, when requested, sample cleaner.
34、 Production cleaner made by the revisedprocedure shall not be shipped prior to receipt of reapproval.4.5 Reports:The vendor of cleaner shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests todetermine conformance to the acceptance test requirements and stating that the cleanerconfor
35、ms to the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase ordernumber, lot number, AMS 1550B, manufacturers identification, and quantity.4.51 A material safety data sheet conforming to AMS 2825, or equivalent, shall be supplied to(R) each purchaser prior to, or concurrent with,
36、the report of preproduction test results, or ifpreproduction testing be waived by purchaser, concurrent with the first shipment of cleaner.Each request for modification of cleaner formulation or change in the reportable status ofany of the raw materials used shall be cause for supplying a revised ma
37、terial safety datasheet.4.6 Resampling and Retesting:(R)If any sample used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition ofthe fluid may be based on the results of testing three additional samples for each originalnonconforming sample. Failure of any retest sample to meet
38、the specified requirements shallbe cause for rejection of the cleaner represented. Results of all tests shall be reported.SAE AMS1550B Page 6 of 7 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY:5.1 Packaging and Identification:5.1.1 Cleaner shall be packaged in containers of a type and size acceptable to purchaser.(R)
39、5.1.2 Each container of cleaner, except for bulk shipments, shall be legibly marked with not lessthan the manufacturers identification (name or reference code), lot number, quantity,AMS 1550B and, if requested, purchase order number. Labeling requirements shall meetfederal, state, and local laws. In
40、 the United States of America there are states whose right-to-know regulations relate to labeling and product which is to be manufactured, stored, orused in those States is subject to those regulations.5.1.3 Containers of cleaner shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial(R) practi
41、ce and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling,packaging, labeling, and safe transportation of the cleaner to ensure carrier acceptance andsafe delivery.5.1.4 For direct U.S. Military procurement, packaging shall be in accordance with(R) MIL-STD-2073-1, Level C
42、, unless Level A is specified in the request for procurement.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT:A vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations andwhen acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONS:Cleaner not conforming to this specification, or to modifi cations authorized
43、by purchaser, will besubject to rejection.8.
