5、erseding AMS2451/4C Plating, Brush, Cadmium Corrosion Protective, Low Hydrogen Embrittlement RATIONALE AMS2451/4D results from a Five-Year Review and update of this specification with changes to hydrogen embrittlement paragraphs 3.1.2 and 3.2.2. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Purpose This specification establishes th
6、e requirements for brush plating of cadmium by electrodeposition. 1.2 Application This process has been used typically to apply a corrosion-protective coating and to repair damaged or worn parts. It is particularly useful when prevention of hydrogen embrittlement of high-strength steel parts or asse

NOTES See AMS2451 and as follows. 8.1 Plating meeting the requirements of this specification will exhibit equivalent properties to plating produced in accordance with AMS-QQ-P-
16、416, AMS2400, and AMS2401. 8.2 Revision Indicator A change bar (l) located in the left margin is for the convenience of the user in locating areas where technical revisions, not editorial changes, have been made to the previous issue of this document. An (R) symbol to the left of the document title

Change bars and (R) are not used in original publications, nor in documents that contain editorial changes only. 8.3 An acceptable rationale for exempting the processor from performance of hydrogen embrittlement relief baking and testing is for the processor to demonstrate that unbaked test specimens pass the hydrogen embrittlement relief test requirements of 3.2.2.
