SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of sheet and plate. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for parts where formability and moderate strength are required, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. 14、 than 1-1/2% nor more than 3%, and naturally aged to the -T451 temper (See AS1990). 3.2.2.1 Plate shall receive no further straightening operations after stretching. If, within this period, the manufacturer elects to test specimens, which thereupon fail t

31、o meet the requirements, they can discard these original test results and test additional specimens selected after four days of aging. These specimens shall be selected from the same location in the production lot or sample as those tested previously in accordance with AMS2355. 3.3.3.3 Bending Produ

32、ct shall withstand, without cracking, bending at room temperature through an angle of 180 degrees around a diameter equal to the bend factor shown in Table 3 times the nominal thickness of the product with axis of bend parallel to the direction of rolling. 3.4 Quality The product, as received by pur

33、chaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M. 34、PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the pro

35、duct conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties as solution heat treated and naturally aged (3.3.1.1), response to heat treatment (3.3.2.1), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall

36、be performed on each lot. Response to re-heat treatment (3.3.3.1) is an acceptance test when specified by purchaser. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Bending as solution heat treated and naturally aged (3.3.1.2) and after response to heat treatment (3.3.2.2 or 3.3.3.2) are periodic tests and shall be performed

37、at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition and toleranc

38、es, showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the acceptance test requirements and stating that the product conforms to the other specified requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4026M, size and qua

39、ntity. The report shall also identify the producer, the mill product form, and the mill produced size. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M. 5.2 Protective Treatment Product shal

40、l be protected from damage during storage and shipment by a method determined by vendor unless specified by purchaser. Examples of typical methods include but are not limited to interleaving with paper or oiling of the surface. 5.3 Packaging The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance w

41、ith ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 42、 its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8.
