QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of extruded profiles shall supply all samples for vendors tes
18、ts and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the extruded profiles conform to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of TestsComposition (3.1), tensile properti
19、es (3.3.1), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each inspection lot.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.4.4 ReportsThe vendor of product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the
20、 chemical composition, tolerances and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number(s), AMS4113F, size, and quantity. This report shall also
21、identify the producer, the product form, and the size of the mill product.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS4113F Page 4 of 45.2 PackagingExtruded profiles sh
22、all be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the extruded profiles to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall mention this specificat
23、ion number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSExtruded profiles not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection.8. Hardness has been used to verify that extrusions have been properly processed, but an out-of-range hard
26、ness number is not always indicative of extrusions with out-of-specification tensile properties. Further analysis, including material composition verification, heat treat process parameter review, and/or tensile property measurement on extrusions with out-of-range hardness, may be necessary.8.3 Term
