SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers a corrosion-r

6、esistant nickel-copper alloy in the form of wire 0.002 inch (0.05 mm) in diameter, and larger (see 8.4).1.2 ApplicationThis product has been typically used for woven wire cloth and screen, and for lockwire, but usage is not limited to such applications.2. 16、3.2 BendingWire shall withstand, without cracking, bending at room temperature through an angle of 180 around a diameter equal to the nominal diameter of the wire.3.4 QualityWire, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, smooth, and free from foreign materials and

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe producer of wire shall su

21、pply all samples for producer tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the wire conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of TestsAll technical

22、requirements of this specification are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable.4.3 SamplingShall be in accordance with AMS2371.4.4 Reports4.4.1 The producer of wire shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the producers name and the country where the metal

23、was melted (e.g., final melt in the case of metal processed by multiple melting operations) and the results of tests for composition of each heat and for tensile and bending properties of each lot. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS4730H, size, and quantity.4.4.2 Wh

24、en the product is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect.4.4.3 The producer of finished or semi-finished parts shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the producers name and the country where the metal was melted (e.g., final melt in the case

25、of metal processed by multiple melting operations) and the purchase order number, AMS4730H, contractor or other direct supplier of wire, part number, and quantity. When wire for making parts is produced or purchased by the parts producer, that producer shall inspect each lot of wire to determine con

26、formance to the requirements of this specification and shall include in the report either a statement that the wire conforms or copies of laboratory reports showing the results of tests to determine conformance.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2371.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVE

27、RY5.1 Wire shall be supplied on spools or in coils except when straight lengths are ordered.5.2 Identification5.2.1 Spools and CoilsShall be marked with a durable tag or label showing not less than the manufacturers identification, purchase order number, AMS4730H, nominal size, and quantity. Boxes o

28、r drums shall be marked with the same information.5.2.2 Straight LengthsShall have attached to each bundle or enclosed in each box a durable tag marked with the information of 5.2.1. 29、1 Spools and CoilsCoils shall be individually wrapped with waterproof paper or packed in waterproof drums. Spools, when ordered, shall be boxed.5.3.2 Straight LengthsShall be bundled or boxed.5.3.3 Wire shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with appl

30、icable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the wire to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. R

31、EJECTIONSWire not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection.8.
