SCOPE1.1 FormThis speci

6、fication covers a silver alloy in the form of wire, rod, sheet, strip, foil, pig, powder, shot, and chips and a viscous mixture (paste) of powder in a suitable binder.1.2 ApplicationThis material has been used typically for brazing corrosion-resistant honeycomb structures and for joining alloys cont

7、aining minor amounts of aluminum or titanium, where service temperature will not exceed 900 F (482 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Oxidation of the brazed alloy may occur during long-time exposure to such temperatures.2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTSThe issue of the following documents in

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTSProducts shall meet the requ

12、irements of AWS A5.8 BAg-19 and the following:3.1 ConditionAs fabricated unless otherwise specified. 3.1.1 PastePaste not containing flux (3.1.1.1) shall be supplied unless paste containing flux (3.1.1.2) is specified.3.1.1.1 Paste Without FluxShall consist of 84 to 90% by weight powder in a suitabl

13、e binder, unless otherwise specified by purchaser.3.1.1.2 Paste Containing FluxShall consist of 55 to 80% by weight powder in a suitable binder and flux combination, unless otherwise specified by purchaser.Paste shall have a shelf life of not less than six months from date of manufacture; not more t

14、han thorough mixing shall be required to restore paste for use during that time.3.1.1.3 Paste without flux shall leave no adherent residue when heated in a protective atmosphere to 1000 F (538 C) or higher.3.2 QualityThe product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in color, quality, and cond

15、ition and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the filler metal. Wire, rod, sheet, strip, and foil shall be clean, sound, bright, and free from slivers, splitting, ragged edges, damaged ends, and other injurious imperfections. Pig, powder, shot, and chips shall

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors t

23、ests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to the specified requirements.4.2 Classification of Tests4.2.1 Acceptance TestsAll technical re

24、quirements, except shelf life of paste (3.1.1.3), are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot.4.2.2 Periodic TestsShelf life of paste (3.1.1.3) is a periodic test and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser.4.3 Sampli

25、ng and TestingShall be in accordance with the following:4.3.1 CompositionFor all products except powder, one sample from each lot; for powder, one sample from each furnace charge.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS4767G Page 5 of 64.3.2 Other Technical RequirementsAs agreed upon by purchaser and vendor.4.3.3 A lo

26、t shall be all product, other than powder and paste, produced from a single furnace charge (or melt) which has been tested and found to conform to the composition requirements of AWS A5.8.4.3.4 A lot of powder shall be a uniform blend of powder produced from one or more furnace charges, each meeting

27、 the requirements of this specification, and presented for vendors inspection at one time.4.3.5 A lot of paste shall be that paste produced from a single lot of powder combined with binder from the same manufacturing batch and presented for vendors inspection at one time.4.4 ReportsThe vendor of the

28、 product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests to determine conformance to the composition requirements and stating that the product conforms to all other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number or numbers, AMS4767G, fo

29、rm, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingNot applicable.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 Identification5.1.1 The product shall be identified as agreed upon by purchaser and vendor.5.1.2 Each exterior container or package shall be permanently and legibly marked with not less than the followin

30、g information:SILVER ALLOY, BRAZING FILLER METALAMS4767GLOT NUMBER _MANUFACTURERS IDENTIFICATION _NOMINAL DIMENSIONS _WEIGHT _5.1.2.1 Each container and package of paste shall also be marked with the date of manufacture.5.2 Packaging5.2.1 The product shall be suitably wrapped, sealed, and boxed or o

31、therwise packaged for protection against injury and contamination during shipment and under normal dry storage conditions.5.2.2 Packages of filler metal shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the han

32、dling, packaging, and transportation of the filler metal to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSFiller metal not conforming to this
