The sample shall be bend tested in conformance with the guided bend test defin
19、ed in ASTM E 290 at 64 to 84 F (18 to 29 C) through an angle of 105 degrees with the speed of bending not less than 1.0 inch (25 mm) per minute. The test fixture supports shall have a minimum contact radius of 0.010 inch (0.25 mm) and the plunger shall have a radius equal to the bend factor shown in

Surface imperfections may be removed and the affected area blended smoothly into adjacent surfaces provided the tolerances of 3.6 are maintained.3.5.3 Burr height on any edge shall not exceed 5% of the nominal thickness.3.6 TolerancesShall conform to all ap

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionsThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirm
28、atory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of TestsAll technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with the following: a lot shall be all product of
29、the same nominal thickness from the same heat of alloy processed at the same time and presented for vendors inspection at one time:4.3.1 Tensile PropertiesNot less than two specimens from each lot.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS7852C Page 4 of 6_4.3.1.1 Specimens for tensile tests of widths 9 inches (229 mm)
30、and over shall be taken with the axis of the specimen perpendicular to the direction of rolling; for widths under 9 inches (229 mm), specimens shall be taken with the axis parallel to the direction of rolling.4.3.2 BendingNot less than one specimen from each lot.4.3.3 MicrostructureNot less than two
31、 specimens from each lot.4.4 ReportsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for chemical composition of each heat and for tensile properties, bending, average grain size, and microstructure of each lot, and stating that the product conforms to
32、 the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS7852C, product form, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingIf any specimen used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition of the product may be bas
33、ed on the results of testing two additional specimens for each original nonconforming specimen. Failure of any retest specimen to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the product represented and no additional testing shall be permitted. Results of all tests shall be report
34、ed.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with AMS2809.5.2 PackagingThe product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the
35、product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall include this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSProducts not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purc
