SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION: 1 .l Scope: This specification establishes the requirements for shielded, kj flexible, high energy ignition leads for gas turbine engines. 2. 1.2 Classification: The leads shall be of the following classification for use in th
3、e stipulated temperature and vol tage ranges: Temperature Ranges GRADE A 250 to -65F GRADE B 450 to -65F GRADE C 600 to -65F GRADE D 1000 to -65F GRADE E 1500 to -65F Vol tage Ranges CLASS I CLASS II CLASS III 15 kv Max CLASS IV 20 kv Max CLASS V 30 kv Max 5 kv Max (Low Voltage) 10 kv Max (Grade D t

INSPECTION AND QUALIFICATION TESTS: 4.1 Test Classifications: The inspection and testing of shielded high energy ignition leads shall be classified as follows: (a) Qualification Tests: Qualification tests are those tests accomplished on samples submitted for qualification
6、 as a satisfactory product, and such other tests as required by the detail specification. Inspection Tests: leads manufactured and submitted toward fulfillmen of a contract or purchase order. (b) Inspection tests are those tests accompl ished on 4.2 Qualification Tests: The qualification tests of le
7、ads shall consist of at least the following tests conducted on the qualification test samples: 4.2.1 Examination of Product: Reference paragraph 5.2. 4.2.2 Resistance Tests: (a) Joint Resistance: Reference paragraph 5.3.1. (b) Shielding Resistance: Reference paragraph 5.3.2. 4.2.3 Continuity Test: (

11、 be carefully exariiined for conformance with the requirements of this specification and/or applicable drawings on which test methods are specified. 5.3 El setrieal Tests : 5.3.1 5.3.2 5.3.3 5.3.4 Joint Resistance: The resistance across the joints between each end connection and the flexible conduit
12、 when measured by means of a suitable low resistance measuring instrument shall not exceed 0.004 ohms. Shielding Kesistance: The resistance of the shielding conduit when heacured by meansof a suitable low resistance measuring instrument shall not exceed 0.003 ohms per foot. Low Voltage Continuity: T
13、he conductor shall be -tested for continuity by applying a low voltage potential difference between the end of the conductor in series with a suitable low voltage indicating device.
