7、rovide essential information as follows: a) (Subclause 7.1) State the applicable method of testing if the compaction test specified is not suitable. ESSENTIAL DATA The availability of certain essential data may affect the prices tendered. Except where such data have been given in the schedule or on
8、the tender drawings, set out suitable clauses covering items such as the following in Portion 2 of the project specification: a) (Subclause 5.4) Set out details of the circumstances (if any) under which the employer will provide, free of charge, water, light, power or any other facility required for
9、 the construction of the works. b) (Subclause 6.2) State the applicable degree of accuracy if that specified in Subclause 6.1 of SABS 1200 DE) is not suitable. C) (Subclause 8.2.3) Give details of provisional sums, etc., if any. ADDITTONAL CLAUSES GENERAL. Where it is necessary to amplify or otherwi
10、se to vary the terms of SABS l200 AD to render them suitable for use in projects to be carried out in particular locations or under particular circumstances, include in Portion 2 of the project specification clauses dealing with matters other than those covered by Clauses 1 and 2 above. NORMAL PROJECTS NOTE: To meet requirements imposed by various norms of economic development, projects are classified as normal, prestige, subeconomic and labour-based projects (see Clause 4 of the Introduction to Part 3 oi the code). 3.2.1 Contracts

Small dams may be a) masonry or concrete weirs constructed in terms of SABS l200 AD, SABS 1200 D) or SABS 1200 tlA3), and 1200 64) or 1200 GA); b) small earth dams constructed in terms of SABS l200 AD and SABS l200 DE). In the case of dams for the Di
13、rectorate of Water Affairs, include a PS clause such as the following: PSAD 1. APPLICABILITY OF SPECIFICATION TO EARTH DAMS (Subclause 1.1). Notwithstanding the height specified in Subclause 1.1 of SABS 1200 AD and of SABS l200 DE), for the purposes of this contract these specifications shall be app
14、licable to the construction of earth dams of height up to 18 m. 3.2.2 services across Dam Site, below Full Supply Level or across Access Route (Subclauses 5.2, 5;3 and 8.2.3). Where power lines or other services exist across the dam site, below FSL or across an access route, set out in a suitable cl
15、ause the details of the steps the contractor must take to protect or move the service, and the manner of payment that will be applicable to each operation.
