10、 for information communication between personal base (PB) equipment and Authorization 81 Call muting Equipment (ACRE): Bell 212 and higher-speed transmission modems. These modems will be included in any future revision of IS680 Personal Base Station - Authorization and call Routing Equipment Compati

11、bility Stdd The foiiowing applies to Bell212 modem implementationn on either a PB or =. Bell 212 Bell 212 is a proprietary standard. The material in this section is considered to be sufficient for the implementation of signaling across this interface. Unless otherwise specified, ail timing and signa

12、iing formats are the same as bi-directional Bell 202-type transmission. Bell 212 transmission format Information is transmitted asynchronously at 1200 bps (600 baud). Data is transmitted 8 bits at a time (Least Significant Bit of each byte first) with no parity, one start bit, and one to three stop

13、bits. QPSK modulation is utilized. Higher-speed modem support Higher-speed modem implementations, s

15、uch as those using V.32 bis, shd be capable of automaticdy falling back to Bell 212N.22 operation. The reader is referred to ITU-T Recommendation V.32 bis-1991 for further information on this modem and for information on auto fdback (Annex A.). Other higher-speed modems can be implemented as long as

16、 the mandatory Bell 212N.22 fallback is supported. Higher-speed modem implementations shaU also aiiow for the service provider to program the modems to connect at a specific rate and protocol, e.g., V.32 bis capable PB set to connect as a Bell 212n.22 modem. .
