It is applicable to P_REV_IN_USE equal to or less than seven, and/or 4 access terminals supporting revision 0, revisi

、on A, revision B and/or revision C of 4. 5 In this document, mobile station or access terminal refers to a subscriber terminal, handset, 6 PDA, wireless local loop unit, or any other CDMA/HRPD subscriber terminal that communicates 7 with the base station at the air interface. Base station or access

、network refers to the 8 composite functionality of the base station and connected network elements. A cabled 9 connection is typically used for the air interface connection between the mobile station and an 10 emulated base station(s). 11 1.2 Device Modes 12 The devices that can be tested using this

、 specification operate under one of the following modes: 13 1. Hybrid Mode: Hybrid mode device that can support cdma20001x and HRPD by periodic 14 monitoring the paging channel of cdma20001x. Such a device prioritizes cdma20001x 15 call and is incapable of simultaneous connection on cdma20001x and H

、RPD 16 2. SVDO Mode: SVDO mode device can support simultaneous cdma20001x and HRPD 17 traffic channels. Further, there are two different SVDO devices: 18 a. SVDO Mode 1: This mode supports only a limited separation between HRPD and 19 cdma20001x channels. This value is called referred to as the maxi

、mum 20 Supported Bandwidth (MSBW) and is an implementation dependent value. 21 b. SVDO Mode 2: This mode supports unlimited separation between HRPD and 22 cdma20001x carrier assignments. 23 Applicability of tests to hybrid mode, SVDO mode 1, and SVDO mode 2 is indicated for each test. 24 Unless othe

、rwise noted tests are applicable to SVDO are applicable to SVDO mode 1 and SVDO 25 mode 2. 26 1.3 Testing Objective 27 The objective of these tests is to demonstrate mobile station signaling conformance with base 28 station equipment compliant to the cdma20001family of standards. References to the a

、pplicable 29 standard functionality are listed in the traceability section of each test case. 30 1.4 Execution Strategy 31 All features supported by the base station, such as Signaling Message Encryption, 32 Authentication, Voice Privacy, etc. should be enabled. 33 1cdma2000is the trademark for the

、All applicable tests should be executed for all supported Band Classes and Radio Configurations. 1 The following general comments apply to all tests: 2 a. Unless specified otherwise in a test case, channel conditions for a test shall be set to 3 have low FER. 4 b. Base stations should be configured

、for normal operation as specified in 1 unless 5 otherwise specified in a specific test. 6 c. Unless otherwise specified, the Reverse Traffic Channel should be operated at a 7 sufficiently high Eb/Noto ensure insignificant (for example, less than 1%) FER. 8 1.5 Notes 9 “Shall” and “shall not” identif

、y requirements to be followed strictly to conform to this document and 10 from which no deviation is permitted. “Should” and “should not” indicate that one of several 11 possibilities is recommended as particularly suitable, without mentioning or excluding others, that 12 a certain course of action is preferred but not necessarily required, or that (in the negative form) a 13 certain possibility or course of action is discouraged but not prohibited. “May” and “need not” 14 indicate a course of action permissible within the limits of the document. “Can” and “
