The trusses are intended for installation in manufactured homes.1.2 A

29、 product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or differentfrom those covered by the requirements in this standard, and that involves a risk of fire, electric shock, orinjury to persons shall be evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-pro

30、ductrequirements as determined necessary to maintain the acceptable level of safety as originally anticipatedby the intent of this standard. A product whose features, characteristics, components, materials, orsystems conflict with specific requirements or provisions of this standard cannot be judged

31、 to comply withthis standard. Where considered appropriate, revision of requirements shall be proposed and adopted inconformance with the methods employed for development, revision, and implementation of this standard.2 General2.1 Except as indicated in 2.2, a component of a product covered by this

32、standard shall comply with therequirements for that component.2.2 A component need not comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characteristic not needed in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this standard, orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this st

35、RIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL3 Glossary3.1 For the purpose of this Standard, the following definitions apply.3.2 BEARING SURFACE That area of the truss that rests on the bearing walls or other acceptablesupports.3.3 CLEAR SPAN The unsupported distance between the truss bearing surfaces.3.4 DEA

36、D LOAD The weight of all permanent construction and fixed service equipment, including theweight of the truss.3.5 LIVE LOAD The weight superimposed by the use and occupancy of the manufactured home,including wind and snow load.PERFORMANCE4 General4.1 The performance of a truss or rafter shall be det

37、ermined in accordance with Section 280.402 of theDepartment of Housing and Urban Development Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standardsas published in the November 18, 1975 Federal Register, Volume 40, No. 244, page 58764, and anysubsequent amendments thereto.MARKING5 General5.1 Each roof t

38、russ or bundle of trusses produced by a truss manufacturer and intended for shipment toa manufactured home manufacturers plant shall be marked with the truss manufacturers or privatelabelers name or identifying symbol.5.2 Each roof truss or bundle of trusses shall be marked to indicate the maximum d

39、esign dead load, themaximum or actual clear span, the minimum bearing surface or other method of support, the maximumdesign roof live load, and the on-center spacing.5.3 All markings shall be securely fixed by means of adhesives, shellac, staples, or acceptablecombinations thereof.5.4 Roof trusses s
