A RPT may include an integral Class 2

RPT are for use as a movable power supply connection for cordand plug connected electrical utilization equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code, NFPA70.3 Glossary3.2.1 CLASS 2 LEAD - Consists of a factory-made, power-limit
5、ed cable with a connector at one end. Theother end is secured within the housing or enclosure of the RPT. The “Class 2” and output electrical rating shall be permanently marked andvisible after installation.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL 1363 permits a relocatable power tap to employ a Class 2 power supp
13、ly with low-voltage (such as USBoutputs). The Standard does not address a Class 2 power supply with low-voltage connectors where thelow-voltage connectors extend from the relocatable power tap housing by an insulated lead.
