8、ITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL4.1 The replacement part shall be formed and assembled so that it may be installed, in accordance withthe installation instructions, into its specified attachment plug, cord connector, receptacle of the pin andsleeve type, without risk of fire or electric shock. Risk of fire
9、 or electric shock is determined by compliancewith the construction and performance requirements herein and the applicable requirements of theStandard for Plugs, Receptacles and Cable Connectors of the Pin and Sleeve type, UL 1682.4.2 A replacement part shall only be installed using commonly used to
10、ols such as a screw driver or awrench. A replacement part shall not be permitted that requires the installer to remove or defeat or replacea factory installed securement means such as a rivet or drive pin.PERFORMANCE5 General5.1 If the replacement part is recommended for use with more than one devic
11、e, each representativecombination of replacement part and device shall be investigated.6 Replacement Part Assembly Test6.1 The replacement part shall be able to be installed to the specified device and shall be reliably retainedin place without causing an increased risk of fire or electric shock. 12、mpliance is determined by inspectionand the test of 6.2 shall be performed.6.2 A sample of the replacement part shall be assembled to its specified device using the manufacturersinstallation instructions. Upon completion of the assembly, the integrity of the completed assembly shallbe examined and i
13、f necessary, subjected to the applicable performance testing necessary to maintaincontinued compliance with this Standard.MARKINGS7 General7.1 The replacement part shall be provided in the form of a kit, including marking as detailed in Section7 of this outline.7.2 A required marking shall be molded
14、, die-stamped, paint-stenciled, stamped or etched metal that ispermanently secured, or indelibly stamped lettering on a pressure-sensitive label secured by adhesivethat, upon investigation, meets the intent of the requirement for the application.7.3 The replacement part shall be provided with the fo
15、llowing identification markings:a) Manufacturers name, and;b) Specific catalog or series number, and;c) The date or other dating period of manufacture not exceeding any three consecutive months.Exception: Abbreviation of the date of manufacture, or provision in a nationally acceptedconventional code
