3、oses will be subjected to the following tests.Volume Change and Extraction Test for hose materials not evaluated to UL 21. (Not conducted on metalflexible fuel hoses)PULL TEST: (As Received)Three samples of the fuel hose assembly (hose and end fittings) are to be tested. Each sample wasmounted in a

4、tensile strength testing machine and subjected to a gradually increasing load until failureoccurs. The samples shall withstand at least a 60 lb. pullout force.AGING TEST: (Not conducted on metal flexible fuel hoses)Three representative samples of the fuel hose assembly are to be subjected to 70 h in

5、 an air-circulatingoven maintained at a temperature of 100C (212F). The samples were subjected to a pull test before andafter aging and the test samples shall not show signs of deterioration or loss of flexibility after aging.PULL TEST: (After Aging)The three samples of the fuel hose assembly (hose

6、and end fittings), which were subjected to the Agingtest, are to be used for this test. Each sample was mounted in a tensile strength testing machine andsubjected to a gradually increasing load until failure occurs. The samples shall maintain at least 70percent of their longitudinal pull strength an

7、d withstand at least a 60 lb. pullout force.VIBRATION TEST:Two samples of the hose assembly are to be subjected to while pressurized to normal operating pressure.The two samples were prepared one in the horizontal position, the other in the vertical, both with one endfixed. They were mounted on the

8、vibration machine and subjected to 48 h vibration of 0.125 in. amplitudeat a frequency of 17 Hz. During and following the test the samples shall withstand the vibration withoutshowing signs of degradation or leakage.AEROSTATIC LEAKAGE TEST:Three samples of 18-inch long flexible hose assemblies are t

9、o be subjected to this test. Each sample isto have one end of the assembly plugged and the other hose end pressurized to 1.5 times operatingpressure for 5 minutes, while being immersed in water and checked for leakage.HYDROSTATIC STRENGTH TEST:UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRO

10、DUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULThree samples of 18-inch long flexible hose assemblies are to be subjected to this test. Each sample isto have on e end plugged and the other hose end is to be hydrostatically pressurized to 4 times operatingpressure for 1 minute and checked for leaka
