、RDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULException: Solvent based enamel insulation used to coat the conductor shall be counted as a layer, if it:a) Complies with the Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 56: Solderablefully insulated (FIW) zerodefect polyurethane enamelled roun

、d copper wire with nominalconductor diameter 0,040 mm to 1,600 mm, class 180, IEC 60317-56; andb) Is a minimum of three times the number of layers in accordance with 5.1 or 5.25A Number of LayersFully Insulated Wire (FIW) :5A.1 For FIW the following layer thickness requirements apply :a) a minimum l

、their insulation, i.e. basic, supplementary or reinforced. For example,a manufacturer may declare that their 0.60 mm conductor coated with 50 layers (each layer a minimumof 0.001 mm) of insulation will be considered their supplementary insulation.6.8 For single and mulit-layer wires, Oone thickness

、measurement is to be made in each of the 4quadrants of the circular sample, for each layer as shown in Figure 6.1. The measurements shall be madeat thickest point for each layer in a given quadrant. For example, a reinforced insulation wire consisting of3 layers should have three measurements made i

、n each quadrant, one for the inner most layer, one forthe middle layer and one for the outer layer. The diameter of the conductor and the overall conductordiameter (conductor and all layers of insulation) shall also be measured in the same fashion as theindividual layers. The same logic applies for

、basic and supplementary insulation. The thickness of anenameled, bond coat or other non-insulating layer is not required to be measured. This is generated text for figtxt.STANDARD NUMBER: UL 2353 -3-UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM

、 UL6.8 For fully insulated wires (FIW), one thickness measurement is to be made in each of the 4 quadrantsof the circular sample, reference Figure 6.1A.
