3、xception: Unguarded motor operated flaps / slats of rangehoods are not considered capable of causinginjury to persons (including exerting during operation a pinching or compression force on small body partssuch as fingers) if they comply with the following performance requirements.A force gauge shal

4、l be inserted at a flap / slat location as close as possible to the drive (if provided)associated with the moving part. The measured force applied by the moving part to the gauge shall beless than 15 lbf (66.7 N).If the moving part reverses direction before exerting a force in excess of 15 lbf (66.7

5、 N), the moving partshall reverse to a position:1) That is open to at least the position at which closing was initiated, or2) That is at least 1 in. (25.4 mm) more open than at the time the part reversed direction.Solid state circuitry controlling the reversing function shall comply with the Standar
