3、tches, which have not been separately tested and found to comply with IEC 61058-1 underthe conditions occurring in the tool, shall comply with Annex I.Note: Annex I takes into account the requirements for the hand-held motor-operated electric tool application and theparticular requirements for switc

4、hes (from IEC 61058-1) not otherwise specified in IEC 60745-1.Annex I(normative)SwitchesSwitches which are tested with the tool shall comply with this standard and with the following clauses ofIEC 61058-1, as modified.Note: Unless otherwise specified, all clauses referenced in Annex I are to IEC 610

5、58-1.Unless otherwise specified, the tests are carried out on the switch incorporated in the tool. Before beingtested in the tool, switches are operated 20 times without load.9 Protection against access to live parts9.1 Compliance with clause 9 is fulfilled by clause 9 of IEC 60745.11 Terminals and

6、Terminations11.1 Compliance with clause 11 is fulfilled by clause 25 of IEC 60745.14 Moisture Resistance14.1 Compliance with clause 14 is fulfilled by clause 14 of IEC 60745.15 Insulation resistance and dielectric strengthClause 15.1 is replaced by the following:15.1 The dielectric strength of switc

8、sconnection and micro-disconnection only.For electronic switches, the test is carried out across full disconnection and micro-disconnection only onelectronic switches with mechanical switching devices connected in series with the semiconductorswitching device.For electronic switches, the tests are n

9、ot carried out across protective impedances and polesinterconnected by components.15.2 This clause is not applicable.16 HeatingExcept for the following, compliance with clause 16 is fulfilled by clause 12 of IEC 60745.16.2.1 The material and design of the contacts shall be such that the operation an

10、d performance of theswitch is not adversely affected by oxidation or other deterioration.16.2.2 Compliance is checked by inspection.20 Clearances, creepage distances, solid insulation and coatings of rigid printed board assemblies20.1 Compliance with clause 20 is fulfilled by clause 28 of IEC 60745.

11、21 Resistance to heat and fire21.1 Except as follows, compliance with clause 21 is fulfilled by clause 29 of IEC 60745.21DV.1 Resistance to heat and fire21DV.1.1 Parts of non-metallic material relied upon for correct actuation, operation, or positioning of otherparts of the switch, or for isolation,

12、 insulation or direct support of a current carrying part of the switch, shallbe resistant to heat and fire.21DV.1.2 This requirement shall not apply to decorative trims, to external covers or structures that arefitted over the switch actuator which are not integral with the actuating means, or to ot

13、her non-safetycritical parts, for which no test is required.21DV.1.3 Compliance with respect to resistance to heat shall be determined by evaluation of long-termtemperature stability according to 21DV.2.1.21DV.2.1 A non-metallic material, as described in 21DV.1.1 shall have acceptable long-term temp

14、eraturestability (relative thermal index or RTI) at the maximum temperature that the material will experience inthe application.Note: This reflects the intent of the information following note g in Table 1 - Maximum normal temperature rises.STANDARD NUMBER: UL 60745-1 -2-UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT

The RTI is determined bythe long-term tests in

16、UL 746B, or by a generic temperature index for the material class as documentedin UL 746B, rated for the intended use of the material.22 Resistance to rusting22.1 Compliance with clause 22 is fulfilled by clause 30 of IEC 60745.23 Abnormal operation and fault conditions for electronic switches23.1 C

17、ompliance with clause 23 is fulfilled by clause 18 of IEC 60745.24 Components24.1 Compliance with clause 24 is fulfilled by clause 23 of IEC 60745.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:This certification decision clarifies requirements applicable to switches for use in hand-heldmotor-operated electric tools.Copyri
