Thecontractor shall provide custom drawings showing total air handlingunit assembly including dimensions, operating weight, accesssections, / diffusion plates /
19、, flexible connections, door swings,controls penetrations, electrical disconnect, lights, duplexreceptacles, switches, wiring, utility connection points, unitsupport system, vibration isolators, drain pan, pressure dropsthrough each component (filter, coil etc) and rigging points.Submittal drawings

General:1. Roof top units (RTU) shall be entirely of
33、 double wall galvanizedsteel construction. Casing is specified in paragraph 2.1.C. Foil facelining is not an acceptable substitute for double wall construction.Galvanizing shall be hot dipped conforming to ASTM A525 and shallprovide a minimum of 0.275 kg of zinc per square meter (0.90 oz. ofzinc per
34、 square foot) (G90). Aluminum constructed units may beprovided subject to VA approval and documentation that structuralrigidity is equal or greater than the galvanized steel specified.2. The contractor and the RTU manufacturer shall be responsible forinsuring that the unit will not exceed the alloca
35、ted space shown onthe drawings, including required clearances for service and futureoverhaul or removal of unit components. All structural, piping,wiring, and ductwork alterations of units, which are dimensionallydifferent than those specified, shall be the responsibility of thecontractor at no addi
36、tional cost to the government.3. RTUs shall be fully assembled by the manufacturer in the factory inaccordance with the arrangement shown on the drawings. The unit shallbe assembled into the largest sections possible subject to shippingand rigging restrictions. The correct fit of all components andc
37、asing sections shall be verified in the factory for all units priorto shipment. All units shall be fully assembled, tested and thensplit to accommodate shipment and job site rigging. On units notshipped fully assembled, the manufacturer shall tag each section andinclude air flow direction to facilit
38、ate assembly at the job site.Lifting lugs or shipping skids shall be provided for each section toallow for field rigging and final placement of unit.4. The RTU manufacturer shall provide the necessary gasketing, caulking,and all screws, nuts, and bolts required for assembly. Themanufacturer shall pr
39、ovide a local representative at the job site tosupervise the assembly and to assure the units are assembled to meetmanufacturers recommendations and requirements noted on thedrawings. Provide documentation that this representative has providedthis service on similar jobs to the Contracting Officer.

Structural Rigidity: Provide structural reinforcement when requiredby span or loading so that the deflection of the assembled structureshall not exceed 1/200 of the span based on a differential staticpressure of 1991 Pa (8 inches water gage) or higher.SPEC WRITER NOTE
