Overview 1.1 Scope This guide is applicable to wildlife protective products installed on overhead electrical distribution systems rated up to and including 38 kV. The guide provides test recommendations regarding these products that are in direct contact or

31、 in the proximity of energized parts and conductors. 1.2 Purpose The purpose of this guide is to recommend test procedures to evaluate the electrical, mechanical, and durability performance of wildlife protective products. The guide provides the end user with test recommendations to ensure that thes

32、e products will not compromise the dielectric performance of the supporting structure, will not cause premature failure due to normal environmental conditions, and will minimize the possibility of a momentary or permanent outage to the electrical system in the event of wildlife interaction.
