16、owever, the extract they made in the lab didnt work well. Maybe, thought Tu, the effectiveingredient in qinghao was destroyed by high temperatures. Therefore, Tu tried to make the extractwith an ether which has a much lower boiling point than water.In 1971, after more than 190 failures, Tu finally g
