Packaging, Identification, Shipment, and Storage4.1 PackagingGaskets, gasket assemblies, and compo-nents shall be properly packaged to avoid cutting, abrading,permanently distorting, or otherwise damaging them duringshipping and storage. Each container shall be legibly an
7、dindelibly marked with the manufacturers name and address,the project name, the part or assembly number for the gaskets,the quantity of parts in each container, and other identificationrequired by the purchaser.4.2 Identification and MarkingEach gasket, gasketassembly, or component shall be clearly
8、and legibly labeledwith the manufacturers identifying part number and otheridentification required by the purchaser.4.3 ShipmentGaskets, gasket assemblies, and componentsshall be shipped in closed containers using the best commercialpractices as defined by the Interstate Commerce CommissionManual,“
9、Uniform Freight Classification Number 9.”3Contain-ers shall not be handled in a manner that will cause damage tothe contents.4.4 StorageGaskets, gasket assemblies, and components,shall be stored in original containers in a clean dry area, free ofdust, debris, oils, solvents, welding slag, spatter, o
